AFTERNOON 3's

9AM-3PM MONDAY-FRIDAY

For children who have turned 3 by September 1st, we welcome these children to stay for 5 afternoons M-F (9-3).They will spend their morning reinforcing their learning and in the afternoon will have opportunities to work on developmental skills in areas of physical, social, emotional and cognitive growth. With the support of the early Pre-K Heggerty program, students will participate in daily lessons where the children begin to learn to play with language and hear the sounds in spoken words. This can be done through nursery rhymes and/or sentence structure. To nurture the balance of a longer day, the children explore opportunities to listen to stories, music, meditation and yoga. Our 3 year-olds will also have a visit from Riverbend Environmental Education Center once a week.
