Daisy Day Camp

The Wetherill School is offering a four-week Summer Camp Program from Tuesday July 6th through Friday July 31st for 3-and 4-year-olds who will be new to Wetherill in the fall and for our youngest returning children. Hours are from 9:00 to 12:00 each day. Families may register children for one or more weeks as preferred; weeks need not be consecutive. There is an optional lunch time until 1:00 pm. Cost $20 per lunch. Families will be invoiced weekly through Brightwheel.

Daisy Day Camp is designed to be a first camp experience and a way for our prospective students to get ready for school. We have found that in years past, children have had an easier transition to school if they have attended at least one week of camp. This year, we are welcoming newly enrolling children and current Wetherill children under five for one, two, three or all four weeks.

This year’s program will focus on exploring a sensorial summer, enjoying learning experiences with all of our senses. We will delve into children’s literature and a variety of hands-on experiences such as outdoor play, water play, gardening, art, music, drama, storytelling, science, and pre-academic activities to enhance pre-literacy and pre-math skills. Two experienced Wetherill teachers will lead the group.

Camp registration will be accepted on a first come first serve basis with preference given to our new enrollees. If you are interested in having your child attend, it is best to register early.

The fee for camp is $250 per week ($200 for the first week due to the 4th of July Monday holiday). Click here for a registration form.

If you have any questions about camp, call (610) 613-7861 or

PM Kindergarten

For children who will be attending morning public school kindergarten in the fall, we offer a 5-day (Monday through Friday) afternoon kindergarten enrichment program to extend the kindergartener’s day. Children are bused from Gladwyne Elementary School to The Wetherill School, and students from other local elementary schools provide their own transportation, all arriving at noon and dismissing at 3:00. These children join with our Wetherill all-day kindergarten children each afternoon. Lessons are presented in social studies, science, music and movement, and art, as well as lessons and activities to reinforce the numeracy and literacy skills that the children are beginning to master. Weekly nature/environmental lessons are conducted by a specialist from Riverbend Environmental Center. Curriculum-related field trips are an additional feature of our PM kindergarten enrichment.
